Christine & Joey's Elopement // Oakley, California

Earlier this year I had the very distinct pleasure of shooting my dear friends’ elopement. I felt so privileged to be there since it was strictly family so there was only about 15 in attendance (doggo included).

The real wedding celebration is planned a year ahead but they couldn’t wait. So an intimate, at-home, and COVID-friendly micro-wedding was the next best thing. They had the whole Zoom live stream set-up so all the friends and family who couldn't make it were still able to watch. It was super hot that day and you could tell by the harsh sun beaming down in the photos.

It was a short and sweet ceremony lasting only about an hour, but I could just feel the difference in both Christine and Joey once they tied the knot. After close to a decade of being together, the moment was a culmination of their commitment to each other and the happiness they've brought into each others' lives. Seeing these two tie the knot reminded me of all the fun memories we all shared and left me in awe of how we’ve grown to this point.

Congratulations Christine and Joey, can’t wait for all the new memories we’ll have now that you’re married!
